Missal Timeline 2011

Here is some basic information about what is being published when during 2011 to support the implementation of the new English translation of the Mass.

End of June – September 2011 Time for personal familiarisation with the new texts.		Introductory Missal available for distribution to priests. Order of Mass booklets and cards available for the people.
Sunday, 4th September – Saturday, 26th November 2011 Introductory period for new Missal		All Masses to be said using the new Order of Mass Priests celebrate using the Introductory Missal People can follow the Mass using Order of Mass booklets and cards
from 24th October 2011 Distribution of the new Ritual Missals for priests		Altar, Chapel and Study Missals despatched to parishes, convents and chaplaincies for use by priests.
mid-November 2011 People's Sunday Missals available		People’s Sunday Missals expected to be available from CTS
Sunday, 27th November 2011 (1st Sunday of Advent) Full use of new translation	.	All Masses said using the new translation only.
End of February 2012 People's Daily Missals available		People’s Daily Missals (all 7 days a week) expected to be available from CTS
