During World Youth Day 2011 in Madrid, Pope Benedict XVI prayed the Via Crucis with thousands of young people through the streets of Spain's capital city. He reminded them that to reflect on Christ's suffering is to reflect on his love for us and his ultimate victory over death. This booklet also contains images of the stunning Spanish statues used during the celebration with the Holy Father.

The reflections at each Station were composed by the Sisters of the Cross (Hermanas de la Cruz) who have a special apostolate to the very poor.
