Lessons from the Curé d'Ars
O'Donoghue, Bishop Patrick
Reflecting on priesthood in the light of St John Vianney.
Bishop Patrick ODonoghue takes the opportunity of this Year for Priests to re-examine the role of the priesthood today, especially in the light of the lessons we can learn from the life of St John Vianney, patron saint of parish priests. He examines four main themes: a priests courage to proclaim salvation, to share in the self-emptying of Christ, his freedom for mission and his immersion in the truth of Faith.
