In the Gospels, Jesus uses the expression 'the kingdom of God' many times. It defines what he was about. But what does it mean? This booklet explores a way to understand this concept and how it is related to the existence of the Church and its central act of worship, the Eucharist. It explains how all Christians can and must join in preparing for the final coming of the kingdom.
Fr. Bernard Green, a native of Stoke-on-Trent, joined the Society of the Divine Savior in 1963. He was ordained in 1973. He has been a Seminary and College Lecturer and pastor on the White Mountain Apache Reservation in Arizona. He is currently Director of the Institute for the Study of Catholic Faith and Life in Tempe, Arizona.
